CMC rebrands, Dr. Nkamiang appointed Vice Chair, expands number to 5 as Otuomasirichi Moore joins.

The Dean of Orwell School of Communications & Media Studies, Dr. Sammy Adrian Ajufo has announced the immediate renaming of the highest policy making body of the institution from Central Management Council to Governing Council. The sweeping change also included the expansion of the Council seats from 4 to 5, with Non-Executive Director of the parent holding company - Orwell Education Advisory - Mrs. Otuomasirichi Moore stepping into the Governing Council as its representative. Mrs. Otuomasirichi Moore is a HR, Administrative & Sales professional with over 7 years experience. She is married to Joshua Moore and they are blessed with a daughter. Also, Dr. John Nkamiang has been appointed the Vice Chairman of the Governing Council, and will be handed new responsibilities to lead the highest decisiona and policy making body of the institution. The Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr. Ajufo has hinted that there will be further expansion of the Council to include new seats, as well as the establishment of an Advisory Council and a Board of Trustees in the nearest future, to help steer the organization to faster winds, greater speeds and greater heights.

Orwell SCMS has welcomed two new Guest Faculty members, Promise Ochibry Esq, a legal practitioner and Esther Okoro a frontline HR Expert. Esther currently serves as an HR Executive and Talent Management/Learning Officer at Murphy Ben International, where she supports strategic HR initiatives, leadership development, talent mapping and organisational performance, while Ochibry focuses on technology law, intellectual property, corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance, and startup advisory. This comes after the announcement of Dr. Kenneth Ogbunehu, current Programme Director for PGD/Short Courses and Governing Council Member as the Provost of Faculty Academy & the Lead Faculty of Orwell School of Communications & Media Studies.

In the buildup to the close off of the 2026 Academic Session, the Dean of Orwell School of Communications & Media Studies - Dr. Sammy Adrian Ajufo has inaugurated a 15-man dual-purpose Committee for the planning and implementation of the 3rd Annual Graduation & Convocation of Africa's premier Strategic Communications training institute.
